String!

Carpets, hat stands, and stools were all antiqued and weathered to replicated the same feel as the string instruments that the show was based on. Turning pegs and fabricated scrolls I made were added to the stands to further replicate this effect. The scrolls were cut in layers using a CNC machine from a SketchUp file I made, then glued and carved at to finish the shape. This show was remounted in 2025 adding a backdrop and making some minor changes to the set. One of these changes was the cello scrolls, no longer made from CNC’d MDF, but instead 3D printed to give a much cleaner finish and be much lighter.
